The McEwen Group has 11 locations providing a full line of hardwood lumber and related products primarily to the cabinet shop and industrial markets. The McQuesten Group has three locations supporting the wholesale and retail lumber yard markets with a full line of building materials and related products. The distribution business was acquired by the Hood Organization in the mid 1990’s. Hood is a diverse family of businesses with acquisitions beginning in 1983 that includes Southern Yellow Pine sawmills, Southern Yellow Pine plywood mills, packaging plants, and roofing materials plants.
